SkyTech Training Program

SkyTech is committed to training excellence. We believe that with the right attitude, anyone can be a successful business owner and Franchise Partner. That’s why we’re committed to providing all of our on-boarding franchisees with the best in-house training experience.

Don’t let a lack of experience deter you from starting the business of your dreams! We provide our franchise owners with all the necessary training and support from the very beginning. Both Mark & Glen have combined training experience of 60 years, so you can be confident knowing that you’re in safe hands from the get-go.

At SkyTech we provide a tailored training program which is included in your Franchise package. The training workshops consists of:

  • Classroom learning
  • Hands-on experience
  • Maintenance procedures
  • On-the-job training
  • Training in safety, customer service and regulations.

Training is extensive and will take approximately two months with significant time being spent with the SkyTech team in the field. Prior to your training, we provide a comprehensive Franchise manual to ensure your success as as SkyTech Franchise Partner. You will also attend the following courses. Having this pre-course knowledge and experience will help you breeze through the training.

  • UAV Advanced Pilot Course
  • Chemical Rating
  • First Aid Course

Post Training

Once your Franchise training is finished, the learning and support doesn’t stop there! You will also complete annual refresher courses ensuring ongoing standardisation with SkyTech’s operating procedures, service standards and civil aviation competency requirements.

Support

The Franchisee has the support of our network to receive technical, maintenance and sales support through their closest sales and service centre. Spare parts and major repairs will also be available from SkyTech’s two main centres in Auckland and Christchurch.

At SkyTech we provide nationwide support to keep your drones flying and SkyTech customers happy. Our DroneLogbooks software keeps track of all maintenance requirements and notifies when annual checks or time life parts are due. Our Auckland and Christchurch service centers have a range of consumables and equipment on hand to support your operation.
